Nipper Pool Assessment will take place at the Ennis Swimming Pool on Sunday 7th December from 8am to 10am.
This assessment is for children born between 2012 and 2018, that wish to participate in the 2026 Nipper pool competitions.

Nipper membership is primarily dependent on :
- 1. Competitors being confident in the water.
- 2. 8 & 9 year old competitors being comfortably able to swim 50m ( 2 lenghts ) front crawl without stopping with their face mainly in the water and breathing to the side.
- 3. 10 & 11 year old competitors being comfortably able to swim 100m ( 4 lenghts ) front crawl without stopping with their face in the water and breathing to the side.
- 4. 12,13 &14 year old competitors being comfortably able to swim 200m (8 lenghts ) front crawl without stopping with their face in the water and breathing to the side.
- 5. Swims will be graded based on times and swim competency as places are limited due to pool capacity restrictions.
- 6. Competitors committing to compete for County Clare at the Regional and National competitions ( if they qualify for the National competition).
If you are unsure of your child's ability in the water, please bring them to the swimming pool beforehand to assess this, as it can be very disheartening for the child if they are satisfactorily complete the swim trial.
Registration will be taken on the morning of the trial beside the reception desk.
