Revalidation Courses for Beach Lifeguards & Surf Instructor Beach Award
These certs must be revalidated every 2 years to use them for work. You could revalidate after 3 years but you cannot use the cert for work in that 3rd year, & it must be revalidated before 3 yrs pass.
WSI have increased registration costs by €30 to €60 per candidate so in turn we have had to increase the cost of our course to €120
In 2026 our revalidations will be on the following dates, places limited to 16 candidates.

Beach Lifeguard Course run by Water Safety Clare
- this course starts every February in Ennis pool with the pool & Basic Life Support components
- it concludes every April with the Open Water component
- the Pool and BLS must be successfully completed before continuing with the open water component.
- theory is delivered by zoom
