Pool training has been back for a few weeks now and renewal memberships are at an all-time high for the club. It’s great to see so many nippers returning, however this limits the number of new entrants we can accept this year. The senior nipper session (children born in 2011, 2012 & 2013) is at capacity, therefore this year’s assessment is for junior nippers only (children born in 2014 ,2015 ,2016 & 2017). 

The assessment this year will be unlike previous years as there are Limited spaces available. Candidates that successfully complete the assessment will be graded based on a timed swim competency test, their water skills and ability. Places will then be filled accordingly. If you are unsure of your child’s ability in the water, please bring them to the swimming pool beforehand to assess this as it can be very disheartening for the child if they are unable to satisfactorily complete the assessment.

The swim assessment will be held on Sunday 5th January from 8am at the Ennis Swimming Pool. Registration will be taken poolside and then only candidates who are successful will be contacted. This contact will be made before the following weeks training session. Please ensure your child has their hat, goggles, towel and togs with them on the day.
